What motivated you to open a gallery?
It happened to me. After my studies of history of arts, I wished to continue to stay in touch with arts. So I organized pop-up exhibitions. I wanted to be close at what is happening now. My focus was on gothic sacral architecture and I never even entered a gallery before. I had no idea, we just started and did what we thought is important to do.
Do you believe you have a local ecosystem that supports you? How is the community engagement with your gallery?
We have a supportive citizenship. A reason might be the catholic roots of the Rhineland and the sense for oppulence, which is supportive for arts and the whole scene in Düsseldorf. And we have the Kunstakademie.

What are some of the challenges your gallery faces today?
We would like to send out a signal from Europe to you guys overseas, that we are still here, and we are doing good.
What are some of your public programs?
We are a space, where you can watch young artist grow in a very early stage of their careers. We would like to show and to sell, and to stand for good art. And for freedom. We do not want to teach anyone, or suggest to know anything better. Although there has always been a close connection between art and teaching. If you think on the meaning of schools in the history of arts, for example.
What are your hopes for the future?
Hopes for the future.
