Description

Its methodology resembles that of the bricoleur described by Levi-Strauss in “The Wild Thought” and that of the surrealists object-trouve. In the sense of reorganizing the pieces from a repertoire of fragments with diverse origins. This bronze responds to a desire to unify in the same material to render more solid those precarious assemblies previously made by her. She uses molds of everyday objects in her collection: permanent markers, small discs or broken glass bases. The discs molds are made of gramola so that in the casting process they would maintain their relief. If she could choose which disc is behind the later cast, she would say that it would be Nina Simone and that you could hear “Strange Fruits”.
