Harun Morrison
Environmental Justice Questions: English/Arabic Edition, 2024
This bilingual publication comprises 120 questions from environmental activists, scientists, writers, artworkers, theorists, architects, chefs, natural historians and horticulturalists. and land workers from across the planet. Harun Morrison invites us to use our wits and personal narratives to articulate the multiple, and often conflicting, facets of environmental justice. Our current times are deeply marked by an escalation of environmental concerns that do not spare any part of the planet. The questions provoke discussion with ourselves, friends, or strangers, creating an opportunity for dialogue and the expansion and challenging of our imaginations. In a world marked by fatigue, conflict, and increasing financial inequality, these questions take aim at the most abstract, and most fundamental aspects affecting people’s lives. They invoke a world beyond the petro-capitalist mindset.
During the opening days of the exhibition, Morrison in dialogue with the curators will select a number of these questions as the basis of a guided activation.
