Description

Constant Dullaart is a young Dutch artist operating from Berlin, whose name is associated with Post Net. This movement represents a view in which each observation is approached as as a visual link. Materials, objects and phenomena are primarily carriers of information.
Constant Dullaart celebrated the 25th anniversary of Photoshop in 2015 with Jennifer in Paradise. The photo was taken in 1987 by Thomas Knoll, the man behind the editing program. This idyllic picture of his girlfriend was the first to be visually edited by him. Part of Dullaart’s installation is a digitally encrypted letter to Jennifer, in which the artist addresses her as the first person in a new world. Jennifer as a new Eve or The Birth of Venus are related images that come to mind.
