Chris Succo

A silkscreen based on Succo’s series of untitled silkscreen paintings exhibited at Almine Rech. Using images cut from magazines, Succo creates gritty, monochromatic collages reminiscent of faded rock posters. In the press release for his Brussels show this particular body of work is described as “flirting with the history of the nude in painting, collages in impoverished grayscale, deadpan renderings of adolescent excesses glorified by rock and roll.”
